This app is built by an individual.  User email addresses are collected for the main intention of recording traction that real people are downloading and using the app, and then capturing whether it is having a positive effect of helping reduce anxiety.

It is not the intention to collect ANY data to be sold on to any third parties.

Where the users input their email address and an accompanying password, the password is stored using third party authentication services.  These services provide the app sign-in capability, where it securely stores user passwords, hashing them to prevent it from being stored in plain text; I, nor anyone else can see a password nor has access. The sign-in service solely handles the complexities of managing user accounts, verifying credentials, and protecting against brute-force attacks.
